2nd Day of Final Semester..

.. and im bored!

This new timetable really sucks.. forgive me for my language but it is really zzZ

I have classes everyday, but everyday it is just one to two hours, and some days with big gaps in the middle, perhaps time for me to sit down and tetris lol ?

I know im supposed to be writing thesis but im so not in the mood

With nothing to read, i mean notes not journals

so im here blogging before my afternoon nap xD

Perhaps due to laziness of writing down my personal thoughts, let me write about our Putrajaya trip xD

It was Thaipusam, and i wasnt in the mood to spend my public holiday in the lab

and so we went to Putrajaya solely just for the bridge at night

They thought its a waste if we just go for the bridge

And so they wanted to go cycling or kayaking

Cycling is not available, but there's not enough time to go to the park with kayak

Therefore, we just spent time picture taking and sight seeing

Luckily xD Because..

Due to a miscommunication, i was wearing a dress o.O

February 21 2012 Hours 1629

Sunday at Pulau Ketam ^^

After a long beautiful nap with the sound of rain in the distance

and after a marvelous cup of coffee for dinner im wide awake

The first nap i had in weeks fully enjoyable ^^

Perhaps im really tired after continuous days of cookie baking

But im sorry i missed dinner at fish's hse she's playing cooking lol nxt time =)

Since im free and fb is slow, let me blog about Pulau Ketam trip

This trip was actually undecided bcz dailou needs to do lab every day continuously

And then suddenly, in the midst of replying dailou's messages and checking the times of the ferry one phone call frm fion and she said will need to reach their house in half hours time at 1pm

Luckily dailou said will come and fetch us and that gave us an extra 15 mins

Becz the last boat from Pulau ketam back to Port Klang is at 6pm

So in the midst of time chasing we got mcd from drive thru xD

With one apple pie with purchases exceeding rm20, if not mistaken

Got lost because of the misleading signboard, and reached there at 23opm and waited for fish til 315 pm approx just in time for the next boat

Boat journey there takes approx 40 mins wow so far

If we were earlier, could have hired bikes for tour round the island

But think riding bikes here also need extreme skills if not might have ended up in the drains or perhaps the sea lol

After that supposed to have dinner wow they are super geng but both shops didnt open

And then we wanted to go icity again but it was raining so entrance wasnt worth it

Dailou and fish drove for 2 hours and reached serdang at 1030pm

Sat at mamak till 1am for their supper

I started to feel hungry seeing them eating hmm

Enjoyable and unpredictable night =)

February 15 2011 Hours 2250 Back ipoh tmr^^

Storage Studies + Headache

Fyp requires me to do storage studies and the basic thing about having to do storage studies include:

Having many samples to play around because its always better to have more than less

And guess how many samples i need to prepare?

*im not complaining but plz just give me a chance to express myself and i will shut up* =(

Look at the pic above and you will see that there are 2 types of packagings available

Its is for me to compare the suitability of the packaging as a protective layer for colorant

I have two samples (redbeet and dragonfruit)

Red beet of 1%, 2% and 3% concentration and df of 1%, 2% and 3% conc too

Redbeet colorant as standard and dragonfruit powder as my research project

Each sample is to be kept under 4 degrees, 25, and 40

Two packets for each temperature

Storage for 2 months

Total-i need to prepare 144 packets of cookies omg

and to make matters worse, the cute oven in the processing lab is so cooperative

The temperature can only go up and up and up even though the temperature is nicely set

So in order to prevent denaturation of color even before storage i need to watch it closely while trying to make the next batch to be put inside the oven

So many simultaneous things to be done at once

I am dead tired now. And to make matters worse

After working for one whole day from 9am til 5pm without going out for lunch,

I only managed to finish red beet 1% (24 packets)

So i still have rb 2%, 3%, df 1%, 2%, and 3% omg

I need another 5 days like this! Not to mention allocating time for initial analysis

Really need to listen to that uncle ivan to get the machine by hook or by crook

Fyp is so unfair..

im so sorry but i cant help but think why some people can have it so easy while some others have it so hard, doing labs days and nights *good luck*

Its not that im comparing but sometimes, really cant help but wonder

today thanks fion and dailou for helping me *appreciated* =)

Perhaps im having over exposure to the oven that even now, even after bathing nicely and thoroughly, i can still smell the oily rancid smell all over T.T

And to think that the week after next will be a new semester

I felt that this semester break has barely started, apart from the cny week

I know this blog post is a lousy one but ur fren here is really tired because she is really getting old. *to be continued*

Happy Birthday Yuwen =)

Havent been updating my bloggie for some time *wipes away the dust*

Taking the chance to blog while rewriting my proposal pitifully =.=

In lab on a Sunday because of the extraction of betalain

Pity the water bath shaker for having to work continuously for six hours because of me

And also sorry to biochem lab assistants for having to work on Sat Sun Mon and Tues, which are all public holidays

Its not our fault. We too, want to get a life.

But its not possible. At least, not in this few weeks

After starting my storage studies and completing all tests before hand, i guess i will be more free

Just hope that all goes according to plan =)

Celebrated my roommate's birthday on Monday the 30th

Age is a woman's secret so i wont reveal the age lol

Dont know why, after internship, i started to like eating spaghetti

Especially with mushroom sauce and cheese yummy *hungry*

But just the mushroom sauce and never the mushroom haha
